Reddit Profile Picture & Banner Downloader

Type a Reddit username or paste a profile link and save the profile picture, the full-body avatar and the banner — in the full size they were uploaded in, not the small crop Reddit shows. Free and online.

A username like spez or u/spez, or a link to the profile. It starts on its own as soon as you paste.

How to Download a Reddit Profile Picture (PFP)

  1. Enter the username

Type the name — with or without u/ in front — or paste a link to the profile from the app or the website.

  2. See every picture

The profile picture, the avatar and the banner appear with their real sizes, already fetched in full resolution.

  3. Download

Press Download next to the one you want. It is saved as the PNG or JPG it was uploaded as.

View Any Reddit Profile Picture in Full Size

Reddit shows a profile picture as a small circle cropped to 256 × 256 pixels, and there is no way to open it larger on the site. Behind that crop Reddit keeps the picture as it was uploaded — often 800 pixels or more across. This Reddit PFP viewer fetches that original, shows it full screen and saves it with one tap.

It works for any public account: yours, a friend's or a creator's. Suspended accounts and profiles marked 18+ are not shown.

Download a Reddit User Banner (Header / Cover Image)

The banner across the top of a profile is offered twice: as uploaded, which is often a taller picture than the strip Reddit displays, and as Reddit crops it for the profile (1280 × 384 on the desktop site). Take the original to reuse the artwork, or the cropped one to get exactly what the profile shows.

Reddit Avatar vs Profile Picture: What's the Difference?

A profile picture is any image a user uploads; it is shown in a circle next to their name. An avatar is the character people dress up in Reddit's avatar builder — including collectible avatars — and is drawn as a full-body figure on the profile and as a head-and-shoulders crop next to posts.

When an account has a Reddit avatar, the downloader offers both: the full-body avatar as a transparent PNG, and the head crop Reddit uses as the profile picture. When it has an uploaded picture, you get that upload in full size. Accounts with neither show Reddit's default picture.

Reddit Profile Picture and Banner Sizes

As of October 2026, Reddit displays profile pictures as a 256 × 256 crop and user banners as a 1280 × 384 strip, scaled down further on phones. It keeps the uploaded originals, which is why the files here are usually larger than what you see on the profile. Upload a square picture of at least 256 × 256 for a sharp profile picture, and a wide banner with the important part in the middle third, since the sides and the top are cut off on smaller screens.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see a Reddit profile picture in full size?

Yes. Enter the username and press the picture: it opens full screen in the size it was uploaded, not the 256-pixel circle Reddit shows.

Why is a Reddit profile picture blurry?

Reddit shows a small crop, scaled up on sharp screens. The original file here is usually much larger and sharp.

Can I download an animated (GIF) Reddit avatar?

If the picture was uploaded as a GIF you get the GIF. Reddit's builder avatars, collectible ones included, are still PNG images.

What size is a Reddit profile picture and banner?

Reddit shows profile pictures at 256 × 256 and user banners at 1280 × 384. The originals are often larger, and every button here shows the real size.
